TT lost his playmates after Jennifer moved to Northern California with all her pups about half a year ago. We had our first reunion party on Thanksgiving 2017, along with two new members joining this trip, Momo a 4 months old Border Collie and Ba-Song a Doberman mix.

On the first day, me and TT carpooled with Momo and Ba-Song driving up toward Pinecrest to meet up with Jennifer. We ended our day with a warm Chinese hotpot in a cozy Airbnb cabin. That was the first time TT met these two girls Momo and Ba-Song. Even though Ba-Song doesn’t favor him, as I expected, TT always has more patience than he should with ladies.

After losing my iPhone 6 at Kelso Dunes, I’ve been suffering using my slow outdated iPhone 4s for half a year. Being an iPhone user for over 6 years, I bit the bullet to switch to Android when Google Pixel 2 first released in early October. After a long wait, I finally received my new device around mid November. Lucky to have the phone before this Thanksgiving trip because I brought all my bad ass DSLR gears without a sim card in my camera. I wasn’t too upset and accepted the bad news quickly, because I thought this would be a pretty good opportunity for me to test out Google Pixel 2’s camera on a big trip like this.

This was the craziest trip ever traveling with 7 dogs! Our first day was at Cleo’s Bath Trail walking along this big lake all the way to a waterfall. parking here is limited.

We were planning to catch some snow on this vacation but it’s clearly too warm this year. To watch puppies pick up new things and learn from other dogs is always fascinating, Momo is a brave little girl that is so eager to absorb and try absolutely anything.

Wait Tissue, that’s too dangerous!

Ba-Song in another hand was always worried and acted overly aggressive to protect herself. I remember when Jennifer first got Tinkerbell, Tinkerbell was timid and had zero desire to explore. While TT was little, he was not as mellow as Momo, she is such a calm and confident young lady.

Pixel 2 has a motion photo option just like the iPhone, problem is you can’t export a high resolution video or gif out, even using google Motion Stills app It does not give you what you see in your phone.

The trail turned gold and orange after we walked toward the waterfall. It’s interesting and also a little bit sad to see how age does to our furry friends. I didn’t get enough Tiru and Tiffy in my shots because they often lagged behind. It’s interesting and also sad to see how age does to these furry friends. We were slowly surrounded by pine trees, air in the woods turned cold and had a delightful fresh sweet scent.

There were less people after we walked away from the lake. I also didn’t have much Tissue in my photos, is TT going to be the next one falling out of the frame? I know this is a silly question and will not happen because I will always have my eyes on him, but I also know TT is turning 5 soon, not the youngest in the pack anymore.

We finally reached the waterfall(?) and not quite sure if this is the one we were looking for.

We kept on going and did some unbelievable bouldering, including hand passing dogs up to the rock one by one… We couldn’t find more signs or arrows in this area, according to the local people we talked to later, the tail fades out around this point.

We were rewarded by this fantastic view, and decided to walk back because it’s already past 3pm. We were also worried about keep on carrying our dogs up and down will slowly become a problem.

We walked back to the lakeshore, I was amazed by how my new cell phone camera managed to take this photo.

TT is always the scout in the pack, I had to walk faster than other humans to keep up. Young dogs are super energetic, Momo(4 months), Ba-Song(1 year), Tinkerbell(3 years) were all with us.

I am still impressed by how much patience Jennifer has with her older pups, she leads them, waits for them, sometimes carries them, never gives up taking Tiffy and Tiru to any trip. I hope I will also be like her after TT turns old.
